One basic necessity that can be found throughout all of humankind is the fact that we're all looking for, in some form or fashion -- truth. We want it in relationships, history, morality, and perhaps most importantly, in ourselves. However, as we all know this can be one of the most elusive things in life. After spending several years growing, developing, and getting to know myself as an artist since my debut record, I found the concept of truth to be very intriguing. I've traveled many places, met lots of interesting and amazing people, began, enjoyed, and ended many meaningful relationships since then. There's been joy, heartache, contemplation, ecstasy, confusion, selfishness, confidence, humbleness, compassion, love gained, love lost, knowledge acquired, mistakes made, as well as apologies, and many songs written about it all. Yet, through it all, the one thing that has been the paradox of always shifting yet remaining the same, has been truth. Allow me to explain.

As an artist, one is surrounded by many talented people offering input and insight from everything to a particular guitar tone that should be used on a track, all the way up to whether or not certain songs should even be on the record. There's cover photos, track listings, titles, and all sorts of other decisions to be made about your art. However, at the end of the day it's just that...YOUR art. Now, imagine taking this atmosphere and applying it to many (and practically every) area of your life. You don't have to...that's our reality! It can be very difficult to filter through all the voices, loving and caring as they may or may not be, and find and remain true to you. Therefore, I've decided to define truth as this: "The most accurate portrayal of one's self at a particular point in time. A snapshot of life that can never and will never be lost or altered. It simply is, and therefore sets you free." I invite you to come along on the exciting journey, and hopefully I have not only given you a group of songs to enjoy, but a soundtrack to the adventure and discovery of your own finding -- the truth, art, and beauty of you! I give you, "The Truth EP."
